OnQue digital banner campaign and website delivers record online traffic for Samsung mobile Omnia II launch.

Delivered over 350,000 unique impressions over a 6 week campaign.

Objective

Samsung Omnia II was the official phone of the 2010 Winter Olympics and was featured in above the line print and TV campaigns. Samsung was also an official sponsor of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Samsung’s objective was to create a digital campaign to support this myriad of marketing activity and maximise the number of consumers reached.

Solution

OnQue created a microsite highlighting the two key versions of the phone; Omnia Icon & Omnia Pro. This microsite reflected the above the line activity and included an online emulator enabling consumers to actually test drive the phone, along with an  interactive media gallery that housed the Olympic sponsorship TVC for the 2010 Winter Olympics. OnQue created a series of engaging banners based on an animated story of the functionality of the phones. These were published across prominent business portals. An integrated search marketing campaign delivered an outstanding result with record unique impressions totaling over 350,000 during the 6 week campaign.
